General Assembly

The General Assembly groups all Eurochild members. However, only full members have the right to vote. Each full member has right to one vote. Other members (associate, honorary) can attend the meetings with a consultative status.

The General Assembly gathers every year under the direction of the President, normally at the association headquarters (Brussels). An extraordianry assembly can be called by the President when decisions need to be taken o urgent issues that can not wait until the following assembly.

The General Assembly has full powers to achieve the aims and activities of the Association, notably on:

  • changing statutes;

  • nomination and excuse of administration board members and staff; 

  • approval of the annual budget;

  • dissolution of the association;

  • exclusion of a member;

  • other competencies as the adoption of internal rules.
