Policy Briefings

The Eurochild secretariat prepares policy briefings to support the advocacy work of its members.  They provide an outline of key policy developments at EU level and their relevance to national and regional action aimed at promoting the rights and welfare of children and young people.  They suggest specific follow-up actions to be taken by member organisations.

Existing policy briefings focus on:

• The National Action Plans on Social Inclusion: moving towards the well-being of children (2008)

• The Child Rights Communication "Towards and EU strategy on the rights of the child" - sooner rather than later...! (2007)

• The Open Method of Coordination on social inclusion & social protection: 2007 focus on child poverty – What Next? (2007)
