- The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (UNCHR) is a department of the United Nations Secretariat. It is mandated to promote and protect the enjoyment and full realisation, by all people, of all rights established in the Charter of the United Nations and in international human rights laws and treaties.
- Committee on the Rights of the Child (CRC) is a body of independent experts that monitors implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child by its State parties. It also monitors implementation of two optional protocols to the Convention, on involvement of children in armed conflict and on sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography.
- Unicef Social and Economic Policy website
UNICEF has created in 2009 a new social and economic policy website which aims to communicate their views and knowledge on social and economic policy issues, focusing on their importance to children and how they should be addressed. The site includes information on the global economic crisis, meetings and conferences, UNICEF's growing Social and Economic Policy Working Briefs and Papers series and links to partner organizations. - The Unicef Innocenti Research Centre (IRC) works to strengthen the capacity of UNICEF and its cooperating institutions to respond to the evolving needs of children and to develop a new global ethic for children. It promotes the effective implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, in both developing and industrialized countries, thereby reaffirming the universality of children’s rights and of UNICEF’s mandate.
