TOY Conference: Senior Citizens and Young Children Building Age-Friendly Communities

The International conference will provide an opportunity to present the experiences and learning arising from the Together Old and Young project

On 28 October International Child Development Initiatives (ICDI) will be hosting the International TOY Conference: ‘Senior Citizens and Young Children Building Age-Friendly Communities in Europe’, which will take place in the Child Rights Home, Leiden (The Netherlands)

The conference will provide an opportunity to present the experiences and learning arising from the TOY Project and will focus on looking toward sustainability and new opportunities to promote intergenerational contact across Europe. Representatives from all partner countries will attend alongside guest practitioners, policy and community volunteers.

The conference will be chaired by Dr. Elly Singer, senior researcher at University of Utrecht.  It will include keynote addresses from Dr. Elena Luppi, University of Bologna, Italy; Mafalda Leal, Eurochild, Brussels and Anne-Sophie Parent, AGE Platform, Brussels. 

Eurochild is an associate partner in the TOY project. TOY promotes bringing young children and older people together, through sharing experiences they have fun, learn from each other and develop meaningful relationships.
