Family and Parenting Support

Eurochild aims to bring a child-rights perspective to the debate at EU level in the field of family and parenting support.

Parents play a critical nurturing and education role towards their children and are the principle advocates of their children’s rights, particularly in the early childhood period.

There must be a greater recognition of the need to support families and parents, especially those in vulnerable situations, who lack access to the resources necessary to enable the child to grow up in a positive family environment.

"Family and Parenting Support" is one of the four member-driven thematic working groups.
