European Years

For every year the EU chooses a theme to be promoted and to raise public awareness. The themes are usually chosen several years in advance to ensure that the necessary preparations can be made for the different European and national campaigns.

The last European Years have been:
...
2007 of Equal Opportunities for All
2008 of Intercultural Dialogue
2009 of Creativity and Innovation

2010 is the European Year combating Poverty and Social Exclusion where Eurochild is very active gathering signatures for its campaign against child poverty: www.endchildpoverty.eu

2011 will be the European Year of Volunteering.

Eurochild is part of a NGO coalition lobbying for 2012 to be the European Year for Intergenerational Solidarity.
