Eurochild granted special consultative status at the UN

Eurochild has been granted special consultative status at the United Nations

This status will enable Eurochild to actively engage with the work of ECOSOC (Economic and Social Council) and its subsidiary bodies, as well as with the UN Secretariat, programmes, funds and agencies in a number of ways such as attend meetings, access the UN, submit written statements and oral presentations at ECOSOC, use UN facilities, consult and provide expertise to the work of the Council.

This official status will enable Eurochild to reach out to the UNCRC Committee and engage actively with the work of the Human Rights Council. This prestigious status will open the doors for Eurochild secretariat and its members to make oral and written statements, organise parallel events, observe proceedings at the Human Rights Council in Geneva and participate in the Universal Periodic Review.
