Do not play a power role with children - build equal relationships with them to connect, share and learn!

Day 2: #EurochildConf offers participants over 10 study visits, plus interactive workshops on good practice!

Day 2 of the Eurochild Conference 2018 in Opatija offered participants an insightful agenda, whilst keeping up the momentum triggered by an “inspiring” opening night on Monday. Participants got the chance to meet local professionals, discover local services and approaches and connect the dots between policy and practice. Over 10 study visits in and around Opatija was on offer to participants.

In addition to the study visits, participants got the opportunity to learn best practices of children’s participation in public decision-makers at local, national and European levels. The interactive workshops were co-facilitated with children and offered concrete recommendations for policy makers and practitioners.

Getting hands-on! Pupils learn about the environment and promoting sustainable tourism in rural areas. We were shown how they make magnets of the local scenery from plaster and earth from the school garden! #EurochildConf pic.twitter.com/TdaaXnzT6v
